Kiawah & Seabrook Island Residential Planting Templates
The Kiawah Conservancy and the Seabrook Green Space Conservancy engaged Surculus to develop a series of native planting templates for residents to apply in their own gardens, based on the unique site conditions prevalent throughout these barrier island communities. Surculus designed and rendered a series of templates with appropriate species, spacing, and planting / soil / mulch guidelines depending on existing conditions. Surculus also developed a series of educational signage for the Kiawah Nature Center Demonstration Garden, explaining the roles native plants play in larger ecosystems. A selection of work is included below, and the full document is available online: Native Plant Guide
